Technical and Historical Notes
A high-class mobile suit of the Jegan series developed by Anaheim Electronics to escort their newest prototypes. Although it is essentially a product of the UC Project, this fact has been kept hidden even within the military organization. The Jesta was fitted with a redesigned backpack capable of tremendous thrust for the sake of keeping up with these newest desins. Aside from escort duty, its main mission is expected to be suppressing ordinary enemy forces, thus producing "situations" in which others can directly confront enemy Newtype weapons. Currently four of these units have been assigned to Londo Bell, along with all of the necessary parts and equipment to reconfigure them into either the Cannon or EWAC variants. Typically their deployment formation calls for two nonconfigured Jesta, and then one suit in the Cannon and EWAC configurations respectively.
